    Cyber security - among the most important topics during the Bulgarian EU presidency

    Cybersecurity issues, the establishment of national authorities in the area of sustainable cyber security, the elaboration of rules for a pan-European response to cybercrime, and the conduct of joint exercises will be among the most important topics during the Bulgarian presidency of the EU Council in 2018.

    Two of the most important European normative documents concerning cyber security in the area are the Network and Information Security Directive, which has to be transposed into national law by 9 May 2018 at the latest, and the mandatory 679 Privacy Act (known as GDPR), imposing salutary fines on a number of organizations in case of breaches and leaks.

    The Single Digital Market - a key priority of the Bulgarian EU Presidency

    The completion of the single digital market regulatory framework and the related changes in the way personal digital data security is ensured are among the top priorities in the telecommunications sector during the Bulgarian EU Presidency.

    "We are looking at the development of a digital single market as a source of growth and competitiveness," said Minister Ivaylo Moskovski and reminded that this is one of the main tasks in the work of the Bulgarian commissioner, Maria Gabriel.

    Telecom operator Novatel implements new cloud ERP and CRM systems

    A large-scale project for the deployment of business software has been implemented in the telecommunication operator Novate, the Bulgarian branch of Deutsche Telekom Group. The project is implemented by TEAM Vision Bulgaria and PIAS Business Solutions, which have implemented interconnected "cloud" ERP and CRM systems.

    HeleCloud won a prize for great progress in trade and investment

    The British-Bulgarian Business Association (BBBA) held its annual meeting and part of the event was the award ceremony. The HeleCloud consulting firm won the "Breakthrough in Trade and Investment - Entering a New Market in Bulgaria and the UK" prize. The BBBA Awards 2017 aim to reward the achievements of their members and to support the sharing of good practices.
